Put the power in me
.............................
When Angela Merkel entered her position among the top politicians in the world, the description of her as a person of power also began. Among the words to describe her were ”quietly ruthless” or that she had a ”visible brashness”. At that point my fascination for what power looks like started; I began thinking about how we create power in movements and structures and what we perceive as powerful and powerless. Put the power in me was my first attempt to put these thoughts into movements and during residences at Codaspace, Dansehallerne and Danscentrum Syd I created this solo with a focus on the visual look of power.
